According to a 2009 FBI U.S Department of Justice Crime Report violent crimes have decreased in 2009 for the third year in a row nationally.
Violent crimes in the United States include murder, robbery, aggravated assault and forcible rape, threats of physical harm, domestic violence, child abuse and animal cruelty.
Many of these crimes have a direct correlation to how people manage anger. The field of anger management education has been a burgeoning niche for the past 10-15 years. It is no longer a considered an intervention method to those caught in the criminal justice system. Anger management classes are a preventative course of action utilized by highly educated and high income families as well as proactive non-profit and private corporations.
As society becomes more aware of ways to manage anger and aggression we may continue to see a decrease in violent crimes in America.
LAVA FLOW -THE ANGER MANAGEMENT GAME
Anger Management providers may want to consider diversifying while closely watching crime trend in there community. The lingering economic recession may be a key factor in the need for anger management education. As employment opportunities continue to dwindle frustration and stress for many increases. This can lead to another wave of potential clientele.
